Providing a fixed price quote is costly. Add up the cost of the sales team receiving the RFQ, talking with engineering, gathering requirements, managing expectations with the customer and physically generating the quote it could be thousands of dollars of out of pocket expenses and distract our team from working on current business.
Many firms don't charge for this directly, but you'll end up paying for it in markups and risk premiums. We have decided to require a $500 refundable deposit for creating a quote for your project. If you decide to work with us in the end you'll get a $500 credit and confidence that you're getting great value. If not, we'll wish you luck and refund your deposit. This keeps our costs low for everyone else.
We do not require a deposit for providing an estimate and working on an hourly contract. Estimates provide a guideline for project expenses but do not require a rigorous engineering review. You may also consider an hourly contract to allow for more flexibility in changing requirements and readily expanding on reducing your project investment.
Estimates are provided within two business days. A full quote can take up to 1 week to provide.
